Some post-mortem notes on food:

For lunch on the first day, we had about the right number of sandwiches, but some extra that we asked them to not bring on the second day:

• 2 salad bowls rather than 4
• 1 veggie tray
• 1 dessert tray

We are also going to cancel the afternoon coffee / snack service. We probably did not need it the first day, though having the cookies at dinner worked well. The breakfast platters could probably be 2 platters instead of 3.

We did have extra food from dinner last night, but that was partly due to folks being delayed arriving (O'Hare) and Netflix + Isilon ditching the dinner.

For lunch on the second day, we nearly ran out of sandwiches. We probably could have done without the afternoon snack as well.

For breakfast on both days, we would have been fine with 2 trays of food rather than 3. Similarly, the morning's fruit was more than enough for the entire day.

For the Thai dinner we did not have serving spoons which was a mistake.

For the pizza dinner, we ran out of food. We also did not have any cups to go with the 2 liters of soda. I think drinks from the University in cans works better than 2 liter bottles. Freshii was a hit at dinner both nights.

In terms of the working groups, some of the groups did not use their second session but ended early.

BSDCan records audio/video for its talks. We should look at doing the same next year. We should also talk to Allan Jude about possible live-streaming.
